Algumas semanas atrás estivemos apoiando um evento que um amigo brasileiro - Rafael Carioca - estava realizando na igreja onde trabalha. Através de uma irmã que conhecemos lá, Kate, surgiu o convite para passar um fim de semana na Escócia, visitando a igreja que ela costumava frequentar.Saímos de Gales às 2h da manhã da sexta. Fizemos a primeira parada em Birmingham às 5h.
Some weeks ago we've been supporting an event which our friend Rafael Carioca was doing with the youngsters in the church in Cowbridge.Trough a lady we met there - Kate - we get this invitation to spend a weekend in Scotland, visiting the church she used to go there.We left Wales about 2am on Friday. Our first stop was in Birmingham at 5am.

Seguimos rumo ao norte mas desviamos um pouquinho para passarmos por Cumbria, uma região de lagos no norte da Inglaterra.Fizemos uma segunda parada pouco depois numa vila chamada Grasmere em torno de 7.30h.

We kept going north but went a little bit to west to pass in Cumbria, the region of the lakes in North England. We did our second stop near there in a village called Grasmere about 7.30am

Três horas depois, já aos arredores de Edinburgh, paramos numa vila onde Kate morou e fomos ver uma igreja que foi construída por volta de 1100 e é a mais originalmente conservada da Escócia, pois quase todas as outras sofreram ataques durante guerras, essa não.

Three hours later, already in the corners of Edinburgh, we stopped in a village were Kate used to live and we went to see a church that was built about 1100 which is probably the most well preserved in Scotland.

Saindo de lá chegamos ao centro de Edinburgh, por volta de 11h. Lá passeamos, fomos ao museu, comemos e fomos até o castelo de Edinburgh.

We left and get in the centre of Edinburgh about 11am. There we went for a walk, went to museums, had lunch and went to Edinburgh castle.

Durante a noite fomos para o lugar onde ficaríamos hospedados, Wellspring, uma casa de oração, e participamos do culto de oração que eles estavam tendo.

During the evening we went to the place where we would sleep, Wellspring, a house of prayer, and there we joined in a prayer meeting that they were doing.

Então saímos para passear a noite indo a uma das sete montanhas ao redor de Edinburgh, onde tem um monumento, e lá ficamos alguns minutos vendo a cidade toda do alto.

Then we went to a walk in one of the seven mountains around Edinburgh, where there is a huge monument, and there we stayed some minutes appreciating the view.

Chegamos a Edinburgh e fomos direto para um show gospel: "Johnny Parks and band", eles são de Belfast, Irlanda do Norte. A mesma banda ministrou no culto da manhã de domingo da Edinburgh Community Church.

Back to Edinburgh we went straight to a Christian concert: "Johnny Parks and band", they are from Belfast. The same band played at the morning service at Edinburgh Community Church on Sunday.

Logo após do culto de domingo começamos a nossa jornada de retorno, saímos às 13.30 de Edinburgh e chegamos às 22h em casa, em Gales. Uma longa jornada, muito cansativo, mais valeu muito a pena, não só pela diversão, mas pelas pessoas que conhecemos, pela troca de experiências, pelos cultos e ministrações que participamos. Todos nós, sem excessão, nos sentimos muito abençoados e espiritualmente renovados ao voltar.

After the service we started our journey back to Wales. We left Edinburgh at 1.30pm and got home in Wales about 10pmIt was a long journey, very tiring, but it was well worth, not just for the fun, but also for the people we met there, for the experience changed, for the services and Christian events that we participated. We all, with no exception, felt very blessed and spiritually renewed during this time there.

DESPEDIDA DO SIDNEI/ SIDNEI'S FARWEL



Mes passado foi a festa de despedida do Sidnei Guiselim. Ele retornou para o Brasil no dia 21 de abril de 2008. Para mim foi muito bom passar esse tempo com o Sidnei. Desenvolvemos uma amizade muito bom, sem falsidade e melhor do que tudo, um relacionameto aonde Deus usou nossas vidas para abencoar um ao outro.
Last month went on Sidnei's Farwel. He returned to Brazil in 21 of april 2008. For me was a very good time. We developed a very good friendship and God used this relacionship to bless our lives.


Varios amigos compareceram para dizer tchau. Tivemos um tempo bem legal aonde as pessoas se divertiram muito e puderam aproveitar pela ultima vez a companinha do Sidnei.
Many friends came to say bye. We had a very good time with a lot of fun, and people could enjoy for the last time Sidnei's company.
